Applying to Mount Carmel SchoolApplications for Kindergarten through seventh grade are accepted throughout the year based on availability. Parents may pick up an application at the school office or download the appropriate forms from the website. Please return the form along with your application fee of $50.00 to the school. Admission ProcessVisit Mount Carmel School We cordially invite you to visit our campus and tour the school at any time during the school year by contacting the Development office at 650-366-8817. We will host our first Kindergarten only Open House and information night on January 19, 2010. You will meet the Kindergarten teacher, aides, and Principal and visit the classroom. Each year, on the last Sunday of the month in January, the school holds an Open House for all grades. You may visit classrooms, and meet teachers, parents and students. Submit an application Applications are available in December prior to the year for which you are applying for Pre K – grades 7. We accept applications for 8th grade on an exception basis only, and only after consultation with the Principal. Applicants for K must be 5 years old as of September 1. The faculty and staff are committed to this date and do not make exceptions. There is a $50.00 application fee per child due at the time the application is submitted. Interview and Testing All prospective students are required to take a test prior to acceptance. The test for Kindergarten is for readiness. All other grades are to determine grade level ability. While your child is being tested, you have the opportunity to meet with the Principal and Pastor. Acceptance Acceptance letters for Kindergarten are mailed in March; all other grades in April. Once a student is accepted, the next step is to complete the registration process by submitting the requested forms and fees.
